Discussion Session: Zero Days Documentary


Objective

This assignment aims to facilitate a discussion session among students to share their thoughts, reflections, and key takeaways from the documentary Zero Days, focusing on the Stuxnet cyberattack.

Instructions

  1. Discussion Session: Organize and facilitate a discussion session based on the following open-ended questions:
    • What were the most surprising or shocking aspects of the Stuxnet attack portrayed in the documentary?
    • How did the documentary illustrate the intersection of technology, politics, and national security in the context of cyber warfare?
    • What are the ethical considerations surrounding the development and deployment of offensive cyber weapons like Stuxnet?
    • What lessons can be learned from the Stuxnet incident in terms of cybersecurity strategy, defense mechanisms, and international cooperation?
    • How has the threat landscape evolved since the Stuxnet attack, and what are the implications for cybersecurity professionals and policymakers today?
  2. Reflection Submission: Each student should post a brief reflection summarizing their contributions to the discussion and their personal insights or reflections on the topics covered in the #stuxnet-discussion channel of the course Discord server. Additionally, each student must respond to at least one other student’s comment in the same channel.
